  • Mid-Missouri football fans share political opinions

    By Stacey Welsh

Election coverage meets… Friday night football? Not the most likely combination, but some fans at the Fulton vs. Moberly High School game wanted to share their views on our blog.

Sara Lair is a substitute teacher in Callaway County, and she said education is one of the most important issues to her.

Don Smith said, as a father, he has a similar opinion. Smith said he plans to factor education high in his voting decision.

Fulton resident Missy Taylor said health care reform is her top priority. She is already concerned her daughter may not be able to get the asthma medication she needs.

Moberly School District Superintendent Gena McCluskey also talked to Project Open Vault. As a leader in education, she said she is concerned about educational funding among other issues.

Because we spoke with community members at a school event, some who did not want to appear in a video clip also named education and job growth as a top concerns. Project Open Vault wants to hear from more of you! Please fill out a comment on our question form.
